TRAVEL PROGRAMS



Houston Museum of Culture Educational Travel Series is offered as a benefit to founders and supporters of the museum. Exciting and educational travel is provided to destinations in the Southwest (Rocky Mountains, Colorado Plateau, Islands in the Sky, etc.) and to festivals and cultural attractions in major U.S. cities, at cost for members. The purpose of the travel series is educational adventure and cross-cultural experience, as well as to expose museum founders to the cultural resources of other parts of the nation. Photography Expeditions, offered as Lost Dutchman Expeditions or Expediciones Fotogrficas de las Barrancas y los Rios, are prvided as a service of Houston Institute for Culture, to focus on culture, history and education, as well as to provide photography and documentary workshops. The trips usually focus on the Desert Southwest, Colorado Plateau, Yellowstone, the Pacific Coast Cascades and Sierras, Mexico, and U.S. cities, such as Washington DC and New York City.
