From their international origins, Houstonians are connected to the vast histories and cultural identities of people all over the world. As a unique social and cultural network that is ahead of its time, Houston is an ideal lab for positive change.

Houston is the Fourth largest U.S. city and, because of its diverse people and industries, it ranks among the most influential cities in the world. As a microcosm of a world full of educational challenges, economic volatility and conflict, Houston has an imperative to achieve high standards of living and quality of life for everyone in order to preserve its own future.

And as a leading exponent of energy, trade and modern technologies, Houston's course will have significant impact on the future of the planet. Knowledge and interaction is critical for Houston communities to ensure their participation in the city's future.
